SEGOVIA

Segovia rises from a rocky hill some 100 meters high. The town offers one of the most unique destinations in Castilla-León. Its urban landscape bears the marks of Roman, Moorish, and Christian civilizations. The city is traversed by a magnificent Roman aqueduct. On the highest point in the town stands the cathedral, an imposing structure topped by a dome and lantern. One of the distinctive features of the city is the Alcázar, a landmark castle built on a steep crag between two valleys.
